The DHS Speech and Drama Club takes biennial trips to New York City.

For many years now, the Duchesne Drama Department has taken trips to New York City for one week.  During that week, students are exposed to the sights and sounds of New York City under the safest conditions imaginable.

While in New York City, students:
○See ten shows, on and off Broadway
○Last year, these shows included:
○Broadway: Wicked, Rent, Spamalot, Avenue Q, and one of their choosing (Beauty and the Beast, Sweet Charity, and On Golden Pond)
○Off-Broadway: Drumstruck, Musical of Musicals: The Musical, After the Night and Music, Blue Man Group, and Stomp.
○Visit China Town, Ground Zero, Little Italy, The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Greenwich Village, etc.
○Visit any stores or other random places they wanted to visit.

We begin fundraising for the 2007 NYC Trip this summer, for more information, e-mail to duchesnedrama@yahoo.com .

The form below closely mimics a flyer sent home to parents recently with the following information:

"During the fall and spring plays this year, we will be selling concessions before the plays and at intermission.  All of the money raised will be contributed to the New York City fund which is being used to help send about thirty students to New York City in the summer of 2007.

We need volunteers to work during the plays. The Fall Drama is being performed from October 19-21; and the Spring Comedy will be from May 3-5. Keep in mind that by working concessions, you will receive free admission to the performance. We also need people to donate food (candy, chips, etc.) and drinks (bottled water, soda, etc.).

If you plan on working concessions, know that you will need to be in the Performing Arts Center at least one hour before the show. This time will be used to set up and get you familiar with the New York trip. If you want to donate food or drinks, they will need to be dropped off in the Speech and Drama Room sometime before the day of the performance. These details can later be set up according to your plans."

If you can help us with this small task of selling concessions, please fill out this form and we will contact you as soon as possible."
